Return shipments (RMA)

Procedure for return shipments and disposal contribution.

 

 

RETURN SHIPMENTS (RMA)

If the delivered goods do not meet your requirements, we ask you to contact the relevant department by telephone (+31 88 221 99 00) to request a RMA number; this number is required for the return shipment.

Reasons of return shipment

  • Wrong delivery (quantity, item, address). 
  • Damaged product/packaging1.
  • Incorrect ordered2.
  • Trade-in, rent or demo device.
  • Technical defect. 

RMA-number request

Call us to request a RMA number3. Keep the following information handy:

  • Article number and description.
  • Serial number of equipment (indicated on device/delivery note).
  • Our order number and/or your reference (stated on the packaging slip/invoice). 

Packing and shipment

  • Attach the RMA label to the outside of the packaging OR mark the RMA number clearly on the outside of the packaging.
  • Provide the packaging with a (copy) packing slip and, if applicable, a desinfection certificate. 

The products are only accepted if they are complete, including all accessories and are adequately protected (preferably in the original packaging). Hettich Benelux is not responsible for transport damage due to incorrect packaging.The shipping costs of a return shipment are, in principle, at the expense of the customer. The product must be sent to us carriage paid. 

Credit note or invoice

After receiving your return shipment, we will send you (if applicable) a credit note or invoice.

  1. It is best to immediately refuse a shipment with visible transport damage. If you still want to accept the shipment, you must note the deviation on the packing slip before signing it for receipt. We advise you to also take a picture of the damage. Hettich Benelux reserves the right to assess the damage on the spot. 
  2. Restock costs (25% of the sales price including discount) may be charged for products that have been incorrectly ordered (for example, too much or wrong). 
  3. A deviation upon receipt of a product must be reported to us within 5 working days.

DISPOSAL FEE

On13 August 2005, the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive also came into force for professional equipment, including laboratory equipment. The regulation mean that:

  • Equipment delivered by us after 13 August 2005 can be returned for recycling at the end of its life at one of the collection points of the RTA Foundation.
  • See the disposal contribution at the invoice. Hettich Benelux must deposit this amount into the fund (Foundation RTA) from which the recycling of equipment will be paid in the future. This contribution is VAT-liable and weight dependent.
